Another great year for Ballymun Tidy Towns in the National Tidy Towns competition

We raised our overall points total for the fifth year in a row and also scooped the National Smarter Travel Award (Sustainable Transport) and a Regional Notice Nature Biodiversity Award in this years prestigious National competition.

Ballymun was also the category G winner for Dublin City (Tidiest Large Urban Centre, Category G = 15,001 - 25,000).

These awards will be on display, as with all previous Ballymun Tidy Towns awards, in the Ballymun Civic Centre atrium beside the coffee dock.

Congratulations to everyone involved, in particular the Ballymun Tidy Towns committee.

Tidy Towns is not purely a ‘neat and tidy’ competition. It also incorporates wider reaching objectives including overall community approach in various activities such as neighbourhood clean ups, promotion of healthy living (eg. Sli na Slainte’s), encouragement of nature/biodiversity, Green schools, recycling, resource recovery, Smarter Travel, Climate Chanage initiatives and much much more.

The Ballymun Tidy Towns Committee would encourage people throughout the community to get involved with the Tidy Towns initiatives in Ballymun.
